Spiral conveyor belts

Spiral conveyor belts

This kind of conveyor belt is the most commonly used and can be succesfully applied in different fields of industry. The belts are made form interlaced spirals alternatively with a left and right orientation. The connecting cross rods can be straight or crimped. The edges can be welded or bent. It is also possible to attach a leading chain or drivers. The belt can be very densly woven (triple weaving) up to 5%-10% of open flow area or, adversly, up to 60%- 70% of open flow area.

The other type of the belt may be made from spirals wound with the same orientation (e.g. only left) with the connecting cross rods straight and welded to the belt. This kind of belt may be used in soldering furnaces where the temperature reaches 1200 Celsius degrees.

Materials used: round or flat wire AISI 304, AISI 314, ALLOY 600, ALLOY 601, carbon or glavanized steel.
